Is my webcam compatible with MAC OS X, Linux?
If your webcam conforms to USB Video Device Class, USB Audio Device Class specifications, then audio and video capture will work in modern versions of MAC OS X, Linux. If it is written on a device web page, that a webcam doesn't need a driver for operation, then it confortms to USB Video Device Class specification. Some other device functions may not work.
